Novel anchored nitrogen-containing heterocycles of potential biological-activity from 2,3-dioxobutanethioanilide 2-arylhydrazone

Abstract: The synthesis of arylhydrazono derivatives of different nitrogen-contain­ing heterocycles from 2,3-dioxobutanethioanilide 2-arylhydrazone was de­scribed. The structures assigned to the products were substantiated by spec­troscopic studies. The antibacterial and antifungal activities for the prepared compounds were determined. Additionally, the antitumour activity together with the toxicological effect of some of the prepared compounds were studied.
