Alkaloids from vinca minor. II. Evaluation by paper chromatography

Abstract: By paper chromatography a mixt. of alkaloids from V. minor was analyzed. The best sepn. of cryst. mixt. of alkaloids A, contg. vincamine, isovincamine, and vincareine, was obtained in 1:1 Bu₂O-McIlvain buffer at pH 6.0. In the yellow fraction B, by applying 25:5:1:31 benzene-1-butanol-formic acid-McIlvain buffer at pH 3.5, 17 alkaloids were found and detected by Dragendorff reagent. 2 chromatograms.
