Abstract:

A series of new N-substituted poly (β-haloallylaniline)s were synthesized by the chemical oxidation method. Based on these polymers, various functionalized polyindoles of a new type were obtained. All the polymers were characterized by FTIR, UV–vis spectra, SEM and TGA techniques. Moreover, the antimicrobial activity of the samples synthesized was studied as antibacterial agents against Gram-positive bacteria Bacillus subtilis and Gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas aureofaciens. It was confirmed that the polymer samples prepared in this study showed activity as antibacterial agents.
