Reaction of Cyclobuxine D with Epoxides

Abstract: By the reaction of buxus alkaloid cyclobuxine D with 1,2-epoxypropane and 6-O-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-1,2:3,4-di-O-isopropylidene-alpha-D-galactopyranose, corresponding C-3-, C-20-mono- and C-3-, C-20-bisalkanolamines were synthesized; the structure of the prepared compounds was confirmed by spectral data.
