Abstract: The effect of an excess of boron trichloride upon the products distribution in thermal and CO2-laser-induced pyrolysis of 1,2-dichloropropane was examined. Only small variations in the yield of some products were found, which presumes no strong specific BCl3... 1,2-dichloropropane interaction during the pyrolyses.
