Synthesis, structure, and pesticidal activity of 2,4-disubstituted and 2,5-disubstituted 3-oxo-2H-pyridazine-5-thiols and 3-oxo-2H-pyridazine-4-thiols

Abstract: A synthesis of thirteen novel 2,4- and 2,5-disubstituted 3-oxo-2H-pyridazine-5- and -4-thiols by the reaction of 2-R-4-alkoxy-5-chloro- and 2-R-5-alkoxy-4-chloro-3-oxo-2#-pyridazines with sodium hydrogen sulfide in methanol is described. The structure of compounds prepared was proved by spectral methods. None of the compounds prepared showed the signifi­cant insecticidal, acaricidal, ovicidal, fungicidal, and herbicidal activity. In addition, it was found that by the reaction of 2-phenyl-4-acetamido- and 2-phenyl-4-diacetamido-5-chloro-3-oxo-2H-pyridazines and 2-phenyl-5-acetamido- and 2-phenyl-5-diacetamido-4-chloro-3-oxo-2H-pyridazines, respectively, with sodium hydrogen sulfide pyridazinethiols formed were cyclized into corresponding thiazolopyridazinones.
