Abstract: The influence of temperature, vanadium concentration, degree of solution
acidification, and reaction time on composition of the solid polyvanadates
arising from the system Mn(V03)2—HNO3—H20 was studied. Besides some
products of varying composition, a compound of the composition
Mn(HV6016) 2 .14H20 was obtained from the system. It results from the study
of thermal properties of this substance that the process of water liberation is of
gradual character and the full dehydration is succeeded by a decomposition of
original structure yielding V205 and Mn(V03) 2 .
