Trends of analytical chemistry

Abstract:  The further development of a specialized branch of science is significantly defined by its own past, with the extention of those social demands which it has to satisfy. Just therefore I would like to give at the beginning of my lecture a survey on the historical antecedents of analytical chemistry.
