Influence of the mode of raw material feeding on result of the reaction taking place in continuous production of pentaerythritol

Abstract: A statistical evaluation of the distribution of raw materials into individual units of cascade of stirred reactors (with overflow) use for C(CH2OH)4 [115-77-5] prepn. indicate that the best results are obtained with high concns. of water, low concns. of AcH [75-07-0], and a high HCHO [50-00-0]/AcH ratio. Problems assocd. with the use of the statistical results for the optimization of C(CH2OH)4 prepn. are discussed.
