Abstract: A new stationary phase for satisfactory sepn. of the products of oxidn. of p-xylene is described. The stationary phase is a mixt. of poly(ethylene glycol) 20 M-TPA (terminated with terephthalic acid), sebacic acid, and H3PO4. To reduce retention time of acids in the sample, the column temp. was programmed. The increments of retention indexes for individual functional groups of benzene derivs. in the para position are const. except for the case of carboxyl, for which the increments of retention indexes are different.
