Magnetochemical behavior of polymeric chloroalkoxotitanium(III) compounds

Abstract: The magnetic properties of chloroalkoxotitanium(III) compds. formed in the course of thermal decompn. of chloro(aliph. alc.)titanium(III) complexes (CnH2n+1OH; n = 1-4) were studied. These products were of nonstoichiometric compn. and showed anomalously lowered values of effective magnetic moments even at room temp. The exptl. obtained values of μeff at 77-300 K are interpreted by using the Ising model of linear antiferromagnetism, and , on the basis of this, a neighboring Ti(III) atoms is proposed.
