Abstract: The composition and equilibrium constant of the Fe(III) azide complex in
aqueous solution have been investigated using the spectrophotometric method
of continuous variations. The results of measurements indicate that the
complex of the ratio Fe(III):N3- = 1:1 prevails in the solution. The charge of
the complex has been determined by measuring the motion of colour boundary
in the electric field. The study of time stability proved the complex to be
relatively stable at room temperature.
