Viscosity of the concentrated aqueous solutions of calcium chloride and nitrate

Abstract: Viscosity of the highly concd. aq. solns. of a Ca(NO₃)₂-CaCl2 mixt. with the ionic ratio NO₃^-/Cl^- equal to 1.5 and 2.33, resp., was followed at 278-328 K. The concn. of the solns. varied from 5 to 23 mole %. A no. of the examd. solns. were in a metastable supersatd. state. The selection of a convenient equation for the description of the temp. and concn. dependence of the viscosity of the solns. is discussed.
