System for indexing organic chemical reactions

Abstract: In the mechanized input and output of information in the field of organic reactions the form of the reaction scheme must be maintained. The storage and retrieval of this information is based on partial structures which are subject to changes brought about by the given reaction. The described system, based on this principle, serves as a tool in the search for new preparative processes used in organic chemistry.
