Abstract:  The determination of small amounts of elements by means of radionuclide fluorescent X-ray analysis is described. Samples containing 5 X 10-4 — 5 X X 10-6 g of elements were fixed on a suitable carrier. For a coaxial geometric arrangement a low-energy source of the type γ/X 241Am/Ag (annular) with an activity 7.4 x 108 s-1 (20 mCi) and for a side-reflexive geometry a source of the type ß/X 147Pm/Sm with the activity of Рт(ОН)з ca 3.7 X X 1010 s -1 (1 Ci) were used as sources of radiation. Cs, Ba, La, Pr, Nd, and Ag were determined by means of the K α  line and Hg, W, Er, and Pr by means of the line Lα. Accuracy of the method was expressed by relative standard deviation. For all elements studied the detection limit of order 10-7 g was achieved.
