Deactivation of the reduction product of p-benzoylbenzaldehyde

Abstract: The reduction of p-benzoylbenzaldehyde has been investigated. This reduction is different from that of benzaldehyde, benzophenone, or the mixtures of these substances, but it resembles the reduction of p-diacetylbenzene. In spite of a certain similarity, some differences appear in the cathodic reduction of both these compounds.
