Stabilization of daughter 99mTc after the ß-decay of 99Mo in dihydrido-bis(cyclopentadienyl)molybdenum-(99Mo)

Abstract: The chem. forms were studied of the stabilization of 99mTc following the β-decay of 99Mo in (C5H5)299MoH2. 99mTc was stabilized in high yield in the form (C5H5)299mTcH (I). Sublimation with a temp. gradient and paper chromatog. were used for the sepn. of I if the 99Mo decayed in the cryst. state. The yield of I was 88 ± 2% by sublimation and 94 ± 4% by paper chromatog. If the decay occurred in benzene the yield of I as detd. by paper chromatog. was 79 ± 3%. If the decay occurred in 3N-HCl the yield was estd. to be 78% by benzene extn.
