Abstract:  The oxidized isotactic polypropylene was grafted with styrene in emulsion at 35°C in the presence of metal chelates of triethylenetetramine. The activation effect of these chelates on the rate of polymerization is interpreted from the viewpoint of redox reactions of the coordinated compounds.
