Abstract:  Twenty four metal ions have been chromatographed on silica gel layers impregnated with the liquid cation exchanger di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid. As eluents aqueous solutions of HCl, HNO₃, and KSCN have been used in different concentrations. Plots of R_F and R_M values (latter for HCl and HNO₃ systems) vs. logarithm of eluent concentration are presented in the figures. Chromatographic behaviour of the studied ions is discussed with respect to the ion exchange and complex-forming equilibrium.
