Thin-layer chromatography of inorganic ions. II. Chromatography in silica gel (impregnated with liquid anion exchangers)-aqueous inorganic acid-salt solution systems

Abstract: Using silica gel layers impregnated with liquid anion exchangers tri-n- -octylamině and Amberlite LA-1, the chromatographic behaviour of eighteen inorganic ions has been investigated. As eluents the solutions of inorganic acids HCl, H₂SO₄, HNO₃, and the solutions of inorganic salts LiCl, NaBr, Nal, KSCN, and KCN in different concentrations have been used. R_F values of ions vs. the concentration of eluent are presented in the figures. The results have been discussed with special emphasis on the possibility of analytical use of investigated chromatographic systems. Examples of separations are mentioned.
