Abstract:  Infrared spectroscopy reveals abnormally strong intramolecular OH. . . π hydrogen bonds in 2,2'-dihydroxy-3,3'-di-t-butyl-5,5'-dimethyl derivatives of diphenylmethane, diphenylsulfide, diphenyldisulfide and diphenylselenide.
