Abstract: The suitability of chem. activated graphite electrodes for indication in potentiometric neutralization titrns. in a differentiating medium of MeCOEt was described. The electrodes were activated before every titrn. by immersing into an aq. soln. of N KMnO4 in N H2SO4. The compds. titrated were: o-aminophenol, p-phenylenediamine, morpholine, α-naphthylamine, diphenylguanidine, N-ethylpiperidine, picric acid, 2,4-dinitrophenol, o-nitrophenol, 2,5-dinitrophenol, HOAc, BzOH, HCl, H2SO4, p-toluenesulfonic acid, trichloroacetic acid, and their selected mixts. The titrn. accuracy is the same as with glass electrode.
