Abstract: A simple device for lab. radio-chem. research of matter in the liquid phase is described. The radiation source consisted of 90Sr-90Y of 1160 ± 116 mc. activity. The dosage intensity of radiation was detd. by the Fricke dosimeter. The concn. of Fe3+ ions in 0.8N H2SO4 was detd. by the spectrophotometric method by applying molar extinction coeffs. at 26°. The values at absorption max. were detd.: 4560 at 222.6 nm. and 2207 l./mol.-cm. at 304.5 nm. The Fe soln. had a concn. FeNH4(SO4)2 1.59 × 10-4M in 0.8N H2SO4. With 90Sr-90Y, the dosage intensity of radiation was as high as 1.5 × 1015 ev./ml.-sec.
