Theoretical investigation of β-ray reflection during precipitation titrations

Abstract: Math. The validity of Mueller's (CA 51, 11109a) theoretical concept of β-ray reflection from the titrated solns. during pptn. titrns. was proved. The intensity of the reflected β-radiation may increase or decrease in relation to the at. no. of the titrated ions and the titrant. The titrn. curve is the expression of the intensity of the reflected β-radiation. As a function of the vol. of titrant it is discontinuous at the equivalence point; if an insol. ppt. is formed there is a break at the equivalence point.
