Abstract: The liquid phase of the system K2HPO3-H3PO3-H2O was studied for the first time with the method of the sp. elec. cond. at the concns. 0.05, 0.1 and 0.5M and 25°, 35°, and 45°. By the analyses of the isotherm deviations of the sp. elec. cond. from the additive values, it was detd. that in addn. to KH2PO3, the salts KH5P2O6 and K2H7P3O9 exist in aq. solns. just the same as in the solid phase. With these salts the unknown KH8P3O9 salt was detd. The formation of these 3 salts is increased with increasing concns. with a negligible effect of temp. at 25-45°. At the same concn. and temp. conditions, the greatest deviation of the sp. elec. cond. from the additive values is shown by KH5P2O6 which is most stable. It is followed by KH8P3O9 and K2H7P3O9 which is the least stable.
