The comparison of some carriers applied in gas-liquid chromatography

Abstract: Some carriers for gas chromatography, Rysorb BKL, silica Svetlofiltr, Chromosorb W, Embacel, Teflon, and glass balls were investigated. All these carriers are satisfactory for non-polar compds. For polar compds., esp. lower alcs., the sepn. on Teflon and glass balls is very suitable. The effectiveness of chromatographic columns can be improved by proper modification with Teflon and glass balls.
