Abstract: Actinomyces olivaceus fermentation culture was acidified and stabilized with Na2SO3. The dried prepn. contained 1-5 γ of vitamin B12/g. On using Propio-nibacterium shermanii fermentation culture, centrifuging, and drying yield of vitamin B12/g. was 80-300 γ. As fermentation substrate waste of food industries, molasses, wheat, potato, and waste in manuf. of yeast was utilized. By applying waste matter of biol. active yeast with cornsteep and potato water in Propionibacterium culture the yield of vitamin B12 was increased 5-7 fold.
