Synergists of pyrethrum. VII. The differentiation of endo and exo isomers of derivatives of bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboximides with infrared absorption spectra

Abstract: cf. CA 55, 21045h. A pronounced differentiation of endo and exo isomers of derivs. of bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboximides, prepd. by diene synthesis of fulvenes with N-substituted maleimides, by infrared absorption spectra was described. Endo isomers were characterized with strong skeletal vibration in the area 615-45 cm-1, while the corresponding exo isomers did not show it.
