Oscillographic polarography of steroids

Abstract: Insol. steroids were detd. oscillopolarographically in acidic alc. solns. The effect of various substituents on the shape of the curve dE/dt = F1(E) is described. By applying the streaming electrode, 3C hydroxyl or ester gives a double-peak, while 3C keto group gives a triple-peak oscillogram. A streaming electrode vessel for 2-ml. solns. giving a quiet and stable oscillogram is described.
