The identification of 2,4,5-trichlorobenzenesulfonyl chloride and its derivatives

Abstract: 2,4,5-Cl₃C₆H₂SO₂Cl was prepd. by sulfonation of 1,2,4-C₆H₃Cl₃ and treatment with PCl₅ or by direct sulfochlorination and detd. as the anilide, p-chloroanilide, Ph ester, p-ClC₆H₄ ester, and 2-C₁₀H₇ ester of 2,4,5-Cl₃C₆H₂SO₃H. 2,4,5-Cl₃C₆H₃SH was detd. as 2,4,5-Cl₃C₆H₂SC₆H₃(NO₂)₂-2,4.
