Control methods in production of lactic acid. V. More exact determination of purity of lactic acid

Abstract: The calcn. of purity of lactic acid from its concn. and sp. gr. is given by this equation Q = 100 (s - 1)/(s' - 1), where s is sp. gr. of pure lactic acid which corresponds to the percentage of acid in the soln. and s' is sp. gr. of measured soln. at 20°. The results of this calcn. are more exact than the results obtained by G.ovrddot.artner (C.A. 48, 6964d).
