The spectrophotometric measurements of chloro-cupric complexes in acetone. III

Abstract: The spectrophotometric measurements in the systems CuCl₂-HgCl₂-CH₃COCH₃ (I) and CuCl₂-ZnCl₂CH₃COCH₃ (II) are described. In I and II the equil. is shifted towards the formation of chloro-cupric and chloro-zinc complexes of the compn. Cu²⁺[HgCl₄]^2- and Cu²⁺[ZnCl₄]^2- and in the following order: Hg²⁺ > Zn²⁺ > Cu²⁺. The results of the measurements agree with the polarization effect of the ions on the formation of the complexes.
