The spectrophotometric measurements of chloro-cupric complexes in acetone. III

Abstract: The spectrophotometric measurements in the systems CuCl2-HgCl2-CH3COCH3 (I) and CuCl2-ZnCl2CH3COCH3 (II) are described. In I and II the equil. is shifted towards the formation of chloro-cupric and chloro-zinc complexes of the compn. Cu2+[HgCl4]2- and Cu2+[ZnCl4]2- and in the following order: Hg2+ > Zn2+ > Cu2+. The results of the measurements agree with the polarization effect of the ions on the formation of the complexes.
