Abstract: The Na salt of N-(p-chlorphenyl)diazothiourea gave an anodic and a cathodic wave. The cathodic reduction was irreversible, and the limiting current had a diffusion character. The diffusion-current const. was detd. as I = 3.59, and the values for half-wave potentials were -850, -914, -1011 mv. at pH 7.71, 8.71, 9.71 at a concn. 4 × 10-4M. The compn. of electrolyte was Sorensen borate buffer, 12% ethanol, and 0.027% gelatin. The stability of a prepn. 'Muritan' used for extermination of rodents was tested by this method.
