Geometrical analysis of crystal structure of tetra-m-tolyltin and tetra-m-tolyllead

Abstract: The parameters of all C atoms in tetra-m-tolyltin and tetra-m-tolyllead were found by geometrical analysis. The proposed structure was confirmed by comparing the intensity of roentgenograms with the calcd. intensities of reflections. The positions of the C atoms and the geometrical measurements are tabulated. There is very little difference in the crystal structure of the two compds.
