The analytical follow-up of the condensation of formaldehyde with phenol

Abstract: CH₂O which did not react in the condensation mixt. was detd. by titration with the application of hydroxylamine-HCl and by a polarographic method. It was found that in the 1st phase of the condensation the primary reaction occurs.
