Decomposition of low-molecular-weight, chain-like hydrocarbons on metallic catalysts

Abstract: A mechanism of the decomposition of low hydrocarbons on nickel catalyst is proposed. It is assumed that the latent cation donor centres with quasi-free electrons play an important role in this reaction.
