Abstract: The following aspects of polymn. in the solid phase were reviewed: initiation, the factors detg. the polymn. capability of monomers, cryst. structure of the monomer, the effect of the size and deformation of the crystals, the effect of additives on the polymn. and copolymn., the effect of the polymer and limited conversion, topochemistry, the transition solid phase-solid phase, stereospecificity of the polymer, kinetic characteristics, the mechanism of the polymn., the conversion curves, the speed of the polymn., the effect of temp., activation energy, and after-effects. 100 references.
