Activated clay as catalyst carrier in the production of synthetic motor fuels

Abstract: The relation between catalyst activity and the structure of the activated clay used as carrier in the manuf. of synthetic gasoline from brown coal tars was detd. Good activity was found for catalysts prepd. from Brǎnany bentonite and Kuzmice (Slovakia) metabentonite. Good results were obtained with a mixt. of a raw bentonite with an acid-activated bentonite.
