Preparation and properties of tetravanadatodiphosphates(2-) M₂¹P₂V₄O₁₆.nH₂O

Abstract: Reactions of VPO₅.2H₂O with KCl, NH₄Cl, and CsBr yielded compds. of the compn. K₂P₂V₄O₁₆.3H₂O, (NH₄)₂P₂V₄O₁₆.4H₂O, and Cs₂P₂V₄O₁₆.H₂O. The IR spectral data led to the assumption that the prepd. tetravanadatodiphosphate(2-) compds. exhibit a layer structure.
