Abstract: N-(4-X-6-X¹-2-Benzothiazolyl)-N'-( β-bromopropionyl)ureas were prepared by treatment of 4,6-substituted 2-aminobenzothiazoles with ß-bromopropionyl isocyanate and converted to cyclic 1-(4-X-6-X¹-2-benzotliiazolyl)dihydrouracils. Antibacterial, antifungal, and antiprotozoal effects in vitro were observed with the described compounds.
