Reaction of indium(III) ions with phlorein

Abstract:  Reaction of In (III) ions with floreine is studied. A red complex with the ratio of components M : L = 1 : 1 is formed in slightly acid medium of uro tropine buffer, its stability being suitable for use of floreine as a metallochromic indicator. The proposed method can be used for establishing 0.5 — 25.0 mg In; the relative range of the confidence interval for 9.35 mg In is 1.4%.
