Preparation of pure calcium phytate

Abstract: Ppts. formed on addn. of Ca(OH)₂ to the system Ca phytate-Ca₃(PO₄)₂-HCl were examd. Up to pH 4.5 pure Ca phytate is pptd., at pH 4.5-5.0 Ca₃-(PO₄)₂ is completely pptd., and at pH 4.5-5.0, 20-30% Ca phytate is pptd. with the Ca₃(PO₄)₂.
