Identification of hydrosilicates in lime-sand bricks

Abstract: Ca hydrosilicates (I) formed in the mixts. of mol. ratio CaO:SiO₂ = 0.1, 0.2, or 0.3 were identified. It was detd. that primarily a synthetic tobermorite is formed, but a formation of another I, similar in compn. to afwillite, is possible. R.ovrddot.ontgen diffraction lines show always the presence of the synthetic tobermorite.
