Testing of matter by derivative thermogravimetry

Abstract: The differential thermal analysis, the thermogravimetric and deriv. thermogravimetric methods are reviewed. Many examples are given of the use of deriv. thermogravimetry in detg. the compn. of KAl(SO₄)₂.12H₂O, BaSO₄, Zn anthranilate, magnesite, dolomite, bauxite, boehmite, hydrargillite, kaolinite, goethite, coal, brown coal, beechwood, lignite, and cellulose. This method was also used in detg. the magnitude and order of basicity of Lewis-type acids and bases.
