Abstract:
Powders of polyaniline (PANI), tetraaniline (TANI), and then PANI and TANI coatings were obtained on the surface of planar (glass, synthetic membranes), bulk (viscose fiber) and dispersed (volume-porous silica) supports, as well as bioseparating elements (BE) including the listed materials were obtained, to assess the efficiency of reversible binding of proteins and nucleic acids and the sorption of supramolecular objects (some viruses and living human cells) on the investigated surfaces. Differences in the sorption behavior of PANI- and TANI-modified supports were identified, and promising areas for their practical application were identified. It was shown that TANI coatings, in this context, were an useful alternative to PANI coatings for bioseparation of both the biopolymer molecules and the supramolecular objects. It was established that the integrity of adenoviral particles, as well as the viability of human fibroblast cells were preserved as a result of their sorption both on the surface of particles of the studied polymers and on the surface of the developed composites. It confirms the suitability of the latter in the development of remedies for protection against the spread of airborne infections, as well as in bioanalytics.
