Abstract: Alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and essential oils present in flowers demonstrate exceptional effectiveness in preventing corrosion. These moieties adsorb onto metal surfaces, creating a protective barrier that minimizes interaction with corrosive environments. Flower extracts are gaining recognition as eco-friendly corrosion inhibitors because of their natural abundance, affordability, and minimal environmental impact. This article delves into the essential elements of leveraging flower extracts for corrosion prevention, covering their working mechanisms, varieties of extracts employed, preparation techniques, efficacy, and possible uses.
