Simulation of the Butyl Acetate Synthesis via Catalytic Distillation

Abstract: This paper deals with the synthesis of butyl acetate by catalytic distillation. Main attention is paid to the computer simulations of the catalytic distillation of acetic acid and butanol as well as a comparison of the numerical results and the pilot plant experimental data. A mathematical model of this process is also discussed.
