О-Acetylation of 4-Hydroxybenzoic Acid with Acetic Anhydride

Abstract: The kinetics of the acetylation of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid with acetic anhydride without any solvent at 125°C was investigated. The catalytic effectiveness of 23 substances was evaluated.
