Synthesis and Antimycobacterial Effect of 3-Formylchromane N-Aroyl- or N-Alkylcarbonylhydrazones

Abstract: 3-Formylchromone N-aroyl- or N-alkylcarbonylhydrazones were prepared by condensation reaction of 3-formylchromones with hydrazine derivatives in ethanol and toluene-p-sulfonic acid as catalyst. Some of the prepared compounds were tested against typical and atypical Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
