Benzothiazole Compounds. 43. Synthesis of Benzazoles with Heterocyclic Substituents and Their Condensation Reactions with Aldehydes

Abstract: Benzothiazole, benzoxazole, and benzimidazole derivatives substituted with a γ-lactone, coumarin or pyrazolone cycle have been synthesized. Condensation reactions of these derivatives with aromatic aldehydes were studied. The structure of the products was proved by IR and ¹H NMR spectra. The synthesized compounds are expected to have plant growth stimulating activity.
